Critical reception to the anthology was mixed. It holds a 54 out of 100 on Metacritic, indicating "mixed or average reviews". The Guardian stated the album "is a two-hour-plus hip-hop gospel confection that'south briefly charmingly pleasant, then heartbreakingly deadening.
